Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director, Ballpark Operations to lead the business and facility operations of the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive business plans, managing revenue generation, and overseeing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short and long-term business plans to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
  • Plan and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive profitability.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including Palm Beach County and local business organizations.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive management reports and manuals.
  • Lead and oversee the annual development of the organization's strategic plan, focusing on increasing brand awareness and driving incremental sponsorships, tickets, concessions, merchandise, parking, and event revenues.
  • Develop and oversee the annual budget and capital projects, ensuring the facility stays within budget while maintaining efficient operations.
  • Hire and train full-time employees to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Establish and monitor goals and objectives for all areas of the operation to create a results-driven atmosphere.
  • Oversee or assist in the management of all service contracts and partnership agreements.
  • Direct operations for spring training games, including oversight of day-of-game staff, promotional events, customer service, community involvement, and public relations.
  • Establish and maintain a strong, constructive, and positive relationship with the facility's full-time and game-day staff.
  • Proactively manage the performance of all staff, addressing and recommending actions on personnel matters as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business operations or consulting capacity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in sponsorship sales, sales management, ticket sales, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred; advanced degree or MBA strongly desired.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Successful track record in selling and customer account management for local, regional, and national accounts.
  • High energy level and extremely motivated to succeed.
  • Interacts well with others in fast-changing environments.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and able to motivate others through leadership.
  • Confidence operating in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
