Vocational Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly qualified Vocational Education Specialist to join our team at Springfield Public Schools - MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching vocational trades to high school students and providing a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver instruction to students in vocational trades, including safety and health knowledge, technical standards, and employability skills.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in vocational education.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of recent, full-time employment experience in a trade shop or related field.
- Passing score on the written and performance tests for licensure.
- Passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy (VTLST) and the Communication and Literacy Skills Test (Medical Assisting 9-12).
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse group of students and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment.
