Job OverviewGENERAL SUMMARY

Utilize extensive expertise and technical qualifications to interpret industry standards, specifications, regulations, and site limitations. Initiate necessary actions to ensure compliance with all requirements. Identify and address issues related to work progress and quality, making informed decisions to resolve situations involving customers, contractors, and company personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the Construction Supervisor in organizing construction activities and coordinating field inspection personnel efficiently and safely while adhering to budget constraints.
  2. Support the Construction Supervisor in overseeing and directing construction tasks to ensure the completion of facility integrity projects within approved budgets.
  3. Guarantee that all work is conducted in accordance with company safety, environmental, and operational protocols.
  4. Achieve customer satisfaction by delivering safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible services tailored to their needs.
  5. Ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations during the execution of civil, mechanical, and environmental tasks, fostering positive relationships with landowners, government entities, and emergency response organizations.
  6. Assist in mentoring and guiding field inspection staff and contractors to achieve departmental goals.
  7. Evaluate workload and coordinate crew placements and staffing levels with Project Engineers and Construction Coordinators, ensuring crews are informed of upcoming work locations.
  8. Conduct safety stand-downs following any incidents, with participation from supervisors or Chief Inspectors.
  9. Complete planning reviews for all excavation projects.
  10. Oversee operational work authorizations, optimizing outage coordination and efficiency.
  11. Manage Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and welding operations, approving standby time as necessary.
  12. Collaborate with management to determine the required number of crews and inspectors for project execution.
  13. Provide a comprehensive schedule with start and end dates to management, updating as necessary.
  14. Offer managerial support as directed by the Construction Supervisor.
  15. Conduct pre-job safety meetings when commencing work in new areas or with new contractors.
  16. Ensure all operations comply with client policies and procedures.
  17. Exhibit broad business and technical acumen in problem-solving, project management, and identifying opportunities while maintaining awareness of stakeholder interrelationships.
  18. May assume the role of Construction Supervisor in their absence.
  19. Manage project scopes in accordance with client policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipeline maintenance or construction.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
  3. Ability to anticipate challenges and risks, developing proactive mitigation strategies and innovative solutions.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Proficient in MS Office Suite, Oracle, or SAP.
  6. Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
  7. Collaborative and service-oriented work ethic.
  8. Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a dynamic team environment.
  9. Certification in API 1169.
  10. Valid Driver's License.
  11. First Aid/CPR certification.
  12. Familiarity with Global Harmonized Systems.
  13. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
