GENERAL SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the Construction Supervisor in organizing construction activities and coordinating field inspection teams efficiently while adhering to budget constraints.
  2. Support the Supervisor in overseeing construction tasks to ensure facility integrity projects are completed within budget and service release orders.
  3. Guarantee compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures throughout all work.
  4. Foster customer satisfaction by delivering safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible services that align with client needs.
  5. Enforce contractual obligations during civil, mechanical, and environmental work to maintain positive relationships with landowners, government entities, and emergency response teams.
  6. Provide guidance and mentorship to field inspection staff and contractors to achieve departmental goals.
  7. Assess project workload and collaborate with Project Engineers and Construction Coordinators to plan crew locations and staffing, ensuring teams are informed of upcoming work sites.
  8. Conduct safety stand-downs following incidents, ensuring participation from supervisors or Chief Inspectors.
  9. Complete planning reviews for all excavation projects.
  10. Oversee operations work authorizations to enhance outage coordination and efficiency.
  11. Manage Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and welding activities, approving standby time as necessary.
  12. Coordinate with management to determine the required number of crews and inspectors for project execution.
  13. Provide a detailed project schedule with start and end dates, updating management weekly or as changes arise.
  14. Offer managerial support as directed by the Construction Supervisor.
  15. Conduct pre-job safety meetings when initiating work in new areas or with new contractors.
  16. Ensure all operations adhere to client policies and procedures.
  17. Demonstrate comprehensive business and technical knowledge in problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder relations.
  18. May assume the role of Construction Supervisor in their absence.
  19. Manage project scopes in accordance with client policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipeline maintenance or construction.
  2. Understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
  3. Ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Proficient in MS Office Suite, Oracle, or SAP.
  6. Effective problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
  7. Collaborative and service-oriented work approach.
  8. Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a dynamic team environment.
  9. API 1169 certification.
  10. Valid Driver's License.
  11. First Aid/CPR certification.
  12. Knowledge of Global Harmonized Systems.
  13. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
