Identify and address issues related to work progress and quality, making informed decisions to resolve situations involving customers, contractors, and company personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Construction Supervisor in organizing construction activities and coordinating field inspection teams efficiently while adhering to budget constraints.
- Support the Supervisor in overseeing construction tasks to ensure facility integrity projects are completed within budget and service release orders.
- Guarantee compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures throughout all work.
- Foster customer satisfaction by delivering safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible services that align with client needs.
- Enforce contractual obligations during civil, mechanical, and environmental work to maintain positive relationships with landowners, government entities, and emergency response teams.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to field inspection staff and contractors to achieve departmental goals.
- Assess project workload and collaborate with Project Engineers and Construction Coordinators to plan crew locations and staffing, ensuring teams are informed of upcoming work sites.
- Conduct safety stand-downs following incidents, ensuring participation from supervisors or Chief Inspectors.
- Complete planning reviews for all excavation projects.
- Oversee operations work authorizations to enhance outage coordination and efficiency.
- Manage Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and welding activities, approving standby time as necessary.
- Coordinate with management to determine the required number of crews and inspectors for project execution.
- Provide a detailed project schedule with start and end dates, updating management weekly or as changes arise.
- Offer managerial support as directed by the Construction Supervisor.
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings when initiating work in new areas or with new contractors.
- Ensure all operations adhere to client policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate comprehensive business and technical knowledge in problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder relations.
- May assume the role of Construction Supervisor in their absence.
- Manage project scopes in accordance with client policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipeline maintenance or construction.
- Understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
- Ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
- Collaborative and service-oriented work approach.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a dynamic team environment.
- API 1169 certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of Global Harmonized Systems.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
