GENERAL SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the Construction Supervisor in organizing construction operations and coordinating field inspection teams efficiently while adhering to budget constraints.
  2. Support the Construction Supervisor in overseeing and directing construction activities to successfully complete facility integrity projects within allocated budgets.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures throughout all work.
  4. Strive for customer satisfaction by delivering safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible services that align with client needs.
  5. Enforce strict adherence to contractual obligations during the execution of civil, mechanical, and environmental tasks to maintain positive relationships with landowners, government entities, and emergency response teams.
  6. Assist in guiding and mentoring field inspection staff and contractors to achieve departmental goals.
  7. Evaluate workload and coordinate crew locations and staffing with Project Engineers and Construction Coordinators, ensuring crews are informed of upcoming work sites.
  8. Conduct safety stand-downs following any incidents, ensuring participation from supervisors or Chief Inspectors.
  9. Complete planning reviews for all excavation projects.
  10. Oversee operational work authorizations to enhance outage coordination and efficiency.
  11. Manage Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and welding operations, approving standby time as necessary.
  12. Collaborate with management to determine the required number of crews and inspectors for project execution.
  13. Provide a detailed project schedule with start and end dates, updating management weekly or as changes arise.
  14. Offer managerial support as needed from the Construction Supervisor.
  15. Conduct pre-job safety meetings when commencing work in new areas or with new contractors.
  16. Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with client policies and procedures.
  17. Exhibit comprehensive business and technical knowledge to resolve issues, manage projects, and identify opportunities while being aware of stakeholder interrelationships.
  18. May assume the role of Construction Supervisor in their absence.
  19. Manage project scopes in line with client policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipeline maintenance or construction.
  2. Familiarity with pipeline and terminal operations.
  3. Ability to anticipate challenges and risks, proactively developing mitigation strategies and innovative solutions.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Proficient in MS Office Suite, Oracle, or SAP.
  6. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
  7. Collaborative and service-oriented work approach.
  8. Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a dynamic team environment.
  9. API 1169 certification.
  10. Valid Driver's License.
  11. First Aid/CPR certification.
  12. Knowledge of Global Harmonized Systems.
  13. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
