Job OverviewCompany Overview:

HDL Engineering Consultants, LLC (HDL) stands as a prominent provider of civil, geotechnical, transportation, and arctic engineering, as well as environmental and earth science, surveying, and construction management services across Alaska. We are in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Transportation Engineering Support Specialist to enhance our Anchorage-based Transportation division.


Position Overview:

This role entails providing support to senior engineering personnel with project deliverables throughout all stages of design, permitting, bidding, and construction.


Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
  • Possession of a current Engineering-in-Training certificate is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with fundamental civil engineering design principles is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design software is necessary.
  • Capability to comprehend and adhere to both verbal and written instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues through both verbal and written means.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior engineers in preparing project documentation, including reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Utilize knowledge of civil engineering design principles in various tasks.
  • Operate office machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Potential for outdoor work and travel to various locations, including urban and remote areas, possibly under challenging conditions for brief periods.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
