We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transportation Engineering Associate to support our Anchorage-based Transportation division.
Position Overview:
This role involves providing support to senior engineering personnel in delivering project outcomes across all stages of design, permitting, bidding, and construction processes.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Possession of a current Engineering-in-Training certificate is advantageous.
- Familiarity with fundamental civil engineering design principles is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design software is expected.
- Capability to comprehend and adhere to both verbal and written instructions and protocols.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly through both verbal and written means.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers in the compilation of project documentation, development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Utilize knowledge of civil engineering design principles in practical applications.
- Operate office equipment and machinery as required.
- Potential for outdoor assignments and travel to various locations, including urban and remote areas, possibly under challenging conditions for brief durations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
