Job Overview

The temporary Security Officer and Transportation Specialist is responsible for providing security and transportation services for employees and associated contractors, with a particular emphasis on adhering to health protocols. Transportation duties will involve navigating the local area using a passenger van provided by the organization, facilitating travel to various locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a passenger van under diverse weather conditions and road scenarios.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor while ensuring excellent customer service and punctuality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the vehicle, especially in response to health safety measures.
  • Complete daily vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Understand and comply with all safety and risk management policies.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and team members, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Must be able to obtain a State of Alaska Security Guard License (unarmed).

Work Environment

This role operates in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility and adaptability. The position involves working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
