About the Role:

As a Senior Systems Engineering Lead at Glassdoor, you will take charge of the strategic planning, design, and execution of essential processes across our core IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with a dynamic team, gaining exposure to a diverse array of cutting-edge technologies. Your technical expertise will be crucial in shaping the design and management of our production and service infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee systems engineering initiatives on intricate systems that address complex challenges, enhance operational efficiency, or elevate the employee experience.
  • Design and develop network architecture and infrastructure solutions.
  • Construct and manage cloud-based applications and corporate IT service frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineering to deploy cloud security measures (CASB).
  • Lead projects aimed at bolstering Glassdoor's security framework and mitigating overall risk (DLP).
  • Implement and manage tools and automation processes to streamline operations and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Work closely with the Information Security team to safeguard our environment and uphold our brand integrity.
  • Devise a comprehensive monitoring strategy for corporate infrastructure.
  • Oversee and optimize log aggregation systems.
  • Support daily operations for production services and participate in on-call rotations for security incidents and outages.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for the support team and contribute to their technical development.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of corporate infrastructure systems.
  • Assess, define, implement, and manage emerging technologies that align with Glassdoor's technological vision.
Qualifications:
  • A strong commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • In-depth knowledge of network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, IPsec, RADIUS). Experience with Palo Alto Networks and Meraki is highly advantageous.
  • Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with various AWS technologies such as AWS Systems Manager, GuardDuty, Workspaces, and networking concepts like VPCs, Security groups, and Transit Gateways.
  • Proficient in Linux or Windows server operating systems, with working knowledge of both.
  • Significant experience with client platform management tools such as Jamf and Intune.
  • Automation experience using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
  • Configuration management expertise with platforms like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory.
  • Experience managing Atlassian servers like JIRA or Confluence is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary Range: $106,000 - $140,800

Annual Bonus Target: 10%

Restricted Stock Units (RSU): Awarded at hire and may be refreshed annually, with additional grants for exceptional performance.
