Job Overview

The Facilities Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of various facilities, including offices and grounds. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to contribute their expertise to enhance our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain the inventory of supplies, equipment, and assets using an ATS program. This includes regular inventory checks, ordering supplies, and ensuring all equipment is operational.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Conduct general repairs and maintenance, which may encompass plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Event Support: Assist in the setup and breakdown of rooms for meetings and events, ensuring a professional atmosphere.
  • Supply Oversight: Help maintain the inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Outdoor Duties: Perform minor landscaping and snow removal tasks as required.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors for larger repair and maintenance projects.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and policies to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the success of the organization.
  • Innovation Encouragement: Proactively contribute innovative ideas that align with the company's vision.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in building and grounds maintenance.
  • Familiarity with various Inventory Tracking System (ITS) programs.
  • Proven track record of high performance in maintenance roles with minimal supervision (1-4 years).
  • Technical expertise is preferred, with an understanding of compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced corporate setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including over 40 hours per week when necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Compensation and Benefits

At Janus, the base salary is just one aspect of our comprehensive compensation package. The salary range for this position is between $23.00 and $26.00 per hour, based on job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and education.
