The House Supervisor RN plays a pivotal role in overseeing patient care across various clinical settings during assigned shifts. This position is responsible for advocating for resource allocation to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care in alignment with established standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in achieving human resource objectives by participating in the selection, orientation, training, scheduling, and evaluation of nursing staff; ensure compliance with organizational policies and expectations.
  • Collaborate with nursing management to maintain high standards of nursing care, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and evaluating health outcomes against benchmarks.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by providing insights for strategic planning, implementing quality standards, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care delivery; address concerns and facilitate effective communication.
  • Respond to critical situations and emergencies, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of leadership and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, adaptability, and clinical judgment in decision-making processes.
  • Maintain composure in high-pressure situations and take ownership of organizational goals and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years in a leadership role.
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, as well as lift and carry necessary supplies and equipment.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires onsite presence.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage ranges from $37.80 to $47.21.
