The Nursing Unit Supervisor at Seneca View Nursing Facility is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the nursing unit, ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained around the clock. This role involves leadership in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals of all ages.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the nursing staff within the designated unit, ensuring effective coordination of care.
  • Maintain overall accountability for the management of resident care and the nursing team.
  • Communicate staff concerns to relevant department supervisors to promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of Resident Care Plans.
  • Manage resources, including personnel, supplies, and equipment, to ensure optimal functioning of the unit.
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration among staff, physicians, and other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
  • Possession of a current New York State RN license.
  • Experience in clinical nursing, with a focus on supervision and training, particularly in gerontology or rehabilitative nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications relevant to the care area, such as CPR/BLS, ACLS, or PALS.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Capability to operate necessary equipment for the role.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires onsite presence.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary range of $92,000 to $95,000.
