Position Overview

This is a part-time, on-call role focused on managing events and ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. The Event Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of event execution, from vendor coordination to safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with vendors on-site during scheduled events, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to clients and vendors regarding approved layouts for furniture, catering, lighting, and entertainment.
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of equipment and materials, ensuring efficient setup and teardown processes.
  • Maintain communication with team members and vendors to ensure smooth event logistics.
  • Ensure the safety of all attendees, staff, and vendors by monitoring the venue and addressing any potential hazards.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients and vendors during events, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA and public health standards.
  • Oversee the cleanup process post-event, ensuring the venue is returned to its original condition.
  • Be flexible with scheduling to accommodate the needs of various events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in event coordination, working with clients, vendors, and staff.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
