About Specialty Sales

Our team consists of specialized consultants dedicated to meeting guests' needs through exceptional operations, outstanding guest experiences, and visually compelling merchandising that inspires purchases. Teams in Apparel and Accessories, Home, Baby, Beauty, and Electronics focus on enhancing guest experiences while efficiently completing tasks to ensure product availability and ease of shopping.

Role Responsibilities

As a Specialty Sales Team Leader, your daily responsibilities will likely include:

  • Fostering a service-oriented culture that prioritizes guest experiences. Train and coach team members to uphold our service standards.
  • Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through ongoing development and modeling inclusive behaviors.
  • Understanding sales objectives and planning daily and weekly workloads to meet business priorities and sales targets.
  • Leading multiple departments, balancing team member expertise, and effectively guiding teams.
  • Assisting in building a team of hourly employees.

Key Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong leadership and accountability skills.
  • Effective communication abilities across various devices and technologies.
  • The capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A welcoming and helpful demeanor.
  • The ability to manage tasks and prioritize workloads efficiently.

Physical Requirements

Candidates should be able to:

  • Access all areas of the building to address guest or team member concerns.
  • Interpret instructions and reports accurately.
  • Handle cash register operations as necessary.
  • Climb ladders as required.
  • Safely handle and move merchandise, including lifting items up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
  • Maintain flexibility in work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Remain mobile throughout the duration of a scheduled shift.
