ROLE OF A SPECIALTY SALES TEAM LEADER

This position offers valuable experiences and skills, including:

  • Building a guest-first culture within the team through service fundamentals.
  • Understanding retail business principles, including sales trends and inventory management.
  • Planning daily and weekly workloads to meet business objectives and sales targets.
  • Leading diverse teams while balancing expertise across departments.
  • Assisting in the development of a skilled team of hourly team members.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Specialty Sales Team Leader, your daily tasks may include:

  • Fostering a service-oriented culture that enhances the guest experience.
  • Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through ongoing development and modeling inclusive behaviors.
  • Understanding sales objectives and executing plans to achieve departmental and store goals.
  • Leading team onboarding and training to close skill gaps and enhance performance.
  • Developing and guiding a knowledgeable team passionate about various departments.
  • Encouraging the use of tools to provide personalized guest experiences.
  • Collaborating with vendors to uphold brand standards and merchandising.
  • Ensuring the sales floor is organized and visually appealing to guests.
  • Supporting backroom processes and product replenishment to enhance availability.
  • Evaluating candidates for open positions to build a guest-centric team.
  • Ensuring a welcoming and safe environment in fitting rooms.
  • Upholding ethical conduct, safety, and compliance within the team.
  • Addressing store needs and supporting guest services as required.
  • Performing other duties as necessary based on business needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Interpret various forms of information and instructions.
  • Handle cash register operations as necessary.
  • Climb ladders and move merchandise safely.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Adapt to varying temperatures and conditions while performing job duties.
  • Remain mobile throughout the scheduled shift.
