We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director - Radiologist to lead our Radiology Department at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic imaging and radiology, with experience in managed care and clinical program development.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Clinical Program Development
- Develop and implement clinical programs and systems to guide and attain the goals of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to define, plan, and oversee clinical practices and performance standards.
- Executive Physician and Provider Relations
- Serve as the Executive Physician to the employed group, devoting approximately 25% of time to this role.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with providers, focusing on practitioner relations and performance.
- Clinical and Digital Care Management
- Lead the vision and evolution of the company's clinical and digital care management offerings as the clinical subject matter expert.
- Develop and implement new approaches to effective clinical delivery services, including the introduction of new technology and integrated paths.
- Research and Partnerships
- Develop comprehensive research packages, investigating specific clinical areas and strategic partners of interest.
- Cultivate external partnerships and vendor relationships as necessary.
- Client Relationships and Growth
- Partner with the Growth team to uncover client pain points and deliver solutions.
- Create and expand client relationships to drive business growth.
- Strategic Planning and Performance Monitoring
- Participate in the strategic planning for UM SRMC clinical and digital care management strategy.
- Monitor performance of launched clinical programs and support continuous improvement.
- Completed US-based residency program in Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology.
- Board certification as an MD or DO with a current unrestricted state license to practice medicine.
- 5+ years clinical practice beyond residency/fellowship.
- 5+ years experience in managed care.
- MBA or advanced degree in healthcare-related discipline preferred.
- Experience serving as the lead thinker / consulting partner, designing innovative clinical programs and interventions driving value for payers and their members.
- Success in building credibility, influence and partnership with key clients.
- Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with partners / clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with highly cross-functional teammates and influence internal partner groups.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and team management / interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to initiate and maintain cross-team relationships.
