As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will engage in a range of field operations to enhance your expertise in construction oversight. District Overview

TIC-The Industrial Company, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, operates through the TIC Southern District. Based in The Woodlands, TX, TIC Southern undertakes major industrial projects across diverse markets in various states. Location

This position is primarily based out of our OGC hub in Houston, TX, with considerable on-site responsibilities. Responsibilities


• Provide supervisory guidance to craft workers through general foremen and foremen, overseeing productivity, safety, quality, and adherence to schedules.


• Act as a liaison between field engineering and craft teams to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications.


• Effectively coordinate and collaborate with other superintendents and subcontractors, as well as Kiewit personnel and leadership, to maintain workflow and schedule compliance.


• Address employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling challenges, notifying project and corporate management as necessary.


• Assist in planning schedules, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, and equipment requirements.


• Ensure consistent adherence to project rules, procedures, and programs, including safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards in line with the Company's non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies.

Qualifications


• Willingness to travel and relocate as required.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.


• Prior knowledge and experience in heavy equipment, precision mechanical tasks, millwright activities, and lifting and installation settings are essential.


• Advanced understanding of various construction disciplines, union agreements, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and related documents.


• Proven ability to efficiently supervise and assess craft performance.


• Highly motivated with a demonstrated commitment to excellence and initiative.


• Strong work ethic, dedicated to completing tasks correctly the first time.
