Job Summary:

The Executive Culinary Director is a key member of the Bashas' management team, responsible for leading the culinary department and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team of chefs to achieve high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of chefs to ensure they meet departmental goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the selection, onboarding, training, and coaching of new team members.
  • Develop and implement menu planning and development strategies to stay current with new trends and customer preferences.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food service items, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of chefs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs.
