Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Legal and Administrative Assistant to support our team of attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in family law and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and affidavits.
  • Manage client files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and organized.
  • Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist with discovery requests and responses.
  • Maintain a database of client information and case details.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phones, filing, and photocopying.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and office policies.
  • Prepare trial exhibits and assist attorneys during court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a law firm or in a legal support role is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of family law practices and procedures is an advantage.
