Joint Event Support Team Planner

The Joint Exercise Support Team Planner plays a critical role in supporting the Joint Event Support Team Lead in planning, managing, and coordinating exercises and events. This includes building exercise planning schedules, forecasting labor and travel, and assisting in the development of exercise/event budgets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Joint Training System and experience in planning and executing exercises and events. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prepare and conduct seminars and training sessions.
This position requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree and a minimum of 11 years of combined education and direct relevant experience. The candidate must also have a minimum of seven years' experience in service and joint doctrine, including combat, combat support, and combat service support operations.
The Joint Exercise Support Team Planner will be responsible for facilitating exercise meetings, conferences, and workgroup sessions, and will be required to travel to locations within the supported organization's area of responsibility.
This position offers competitive compensation rates, comparable to the government General Scale (GS 11) and (GS 13) pay bands.
Preferred qualifications include combatant command or Joint Staff J7 experience, extensive experience with operations centers, planning cells, and operational planning teams, and knowledge of the scenario/MSEL development process.
