Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role of the IP Operations Specialist is crucial in a vibrant and fast-evolving environment, focusing on the management of the global patent portfolio within the IP Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess extensive knowledge of patent prosecution, including proficiency with patent docketing systems, tools, and public databases.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze data using Excel, synthesizing large datasets into clear recommendations for action.
  • Collaborate effectively across various functions with attorneys, external counsel, inventors, and business partners to monitor and enhance performance, while identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Oversee critical objectives and facilitate cross-functional coordination to meet strategic and financial targets, including billing and budget oversight.
  • Develop and refine key operational metrics to support informed decision-making, including reporting on the team's core IP strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of tools to streamline workflows within the IP Group, including evaluating legal tools and service proposals.
  • Exhibit independent and strategic thinking, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to manage competing priorities efficiently, while proposing continuous enhancements to patent prosecution practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of patent-specific legal experience, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate.
  • Experience in patent prosecution within a large law firm or corporate setting is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Inclusive mindset, adapting communication styles to diverse global norms.
  • A proactive learner, approaching challenges with curiosity and resilience, utilizing data to enhance understanding.
  • Collaborative nature, fostering relationships and offering support while welcoming diverse approaches.

Contract Details:

This position is a W-2 Contract role facilitated through Eastridge MSP.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation range for this role is between $35 and $45 USD, depending on various factors such as function, location, and individual qualifications.
