Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inspector - Transportation Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC. As a key member of our infrastructure monitoring team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Monitor the work of contractors to ensure that plans, specifications, materials, and safety standards are met.
  • Project Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, photographs, and inspection notes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve quality control issues, safety concerns, and other project-related problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in an engineering field preferred; minimum 5 years of experience in LA DOTD QC/Inspection work desired.
  • Skills and Certifications: Nuclear gauge certification required; experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions; minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds.
