The Role

As a Senior Project Controls Manager, you will take charge of overseeing project control functions alongside the internal project management team, ensuring project deliverables are met within financial and temporal constraints.

Main Responsibilities
  • Facilitate project initiation within the Enterprise Project Management software.
  • Scrutinize data, examine logs, and generate reports utilizing the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or alternative tools.
  • Construct Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Formulate, execute, and sustain effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flow analyses, and forecasts for multiple projects.
  • Adhere to project execution strategies.
  • Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and financial oversight.
  • Act as a primary contact for technical inquiries from the project team.
  • Sanction Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for accurate coding.
  • Record and document modifications to cost reports or forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to assess project expenditures and contingency costs, supporting external audits.
  • Evaluate upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders.
  • Develop and present cash flow reports.
  • Create various tiers of schedules.
  • Implement and review the entry of logical ties within the schedules.
  • Monitor resource allocation within a schedule.
  • Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
  • Generate diverse schedule reports and determine suitable reporting formats.
  • Develop, review, and assess pre-programmed project scheduling reports and supporting documentation for precision.
  • Consult with the project team regarding schedule advancements.
  • Analyze and assess schedule management using critical path method techniques, estimating, project cost management, and forecasting.
  • Conduct schedule what-if analyses.
  • Establish and maintain an earned value management system.
  • Input and verify progress measurements.
  • Develop and maintain progress curves.
  • Execute material takeoffs.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on project control outputs.
  • Assist with Project Forensic Analysis.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of relevant project controls experience.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and documenting progress.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation
The starting salary for this position varies based on the employee's primary work location. Compensation is influenced by individual qualifications.
