Essential Functions:
The Hospice Community Relations Specialist is responsible for generating and coordinating new hospice business within existing and new accounts, identifying new markets, and maintaining service for referred patients. This role serves as a vital link between the agency, healthcare facilities, and other referral sources. The specialist will educate the community and medical professionals about hospice services while ensuring continuity of care through daily interactions with patients, medical professionals, and referral sources. Collaboration with agency personnel is essential to guarantee efficient and effective patient care.
Qualifications:
- A genuine desire to serve patients and families with a commitment to providing exceptional care
- Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience: At least 2 years of sales experience in a clinical care environment, preferably in hospice
- Required: Reliable transportation and the ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, and lifting at least 25 lbs.
