Brookshires Grocery Company is seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Specialist to provide armed security and monitor loss prevention on assigned Company properties. The ideal candidate will assist with investigations as directed by management and ensure a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Provides armed physical security and loss prevention services at assigned locations

• Assists with asset protection training and internal investigations

• Monitors safety and security equipment and processes

• Provides on-site training for newly assigned asset protection officers

• Responsible for filling position vacancies due to scheduling conflicts

• Responsible for the use, maintenance of, and response to security alarms and other security systems at non-retail locations

• Monitors and controls vehicular and pedestrian access and traffic at non-retail locations

• Complies with state and private security and safety regulations

• Provides assistance with company vehicles as needed

**Requirements**

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education required

• Vocational/Technical school preferred

• Valid state driver's license required

• Minimum of 21 years of age required

• Texas Department of Public Safety Level III certification required (Texas Only)

• Department of Public Safety Level IV certification preferred

• Must be able to pass post-offer physical agility test for job related tasks

• Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus

• Continuously required to stand or walk

• Frequently required to talk and hear

• Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling

• Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing)

• Occasionally required to sit for long periods of time

• Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs

• Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat

• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop or crawl
