Job Overview

The successful candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for technology. As a Systems Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and enhance our clients' IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and contributing to various IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot issues related to cloud services, networks, and systems while overseeing the active cloud, network, and server infrastructure.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on hardware and enforce security protocols to avert system disruptions or breaches.
  • Implement sensitive data backup and recovery processes, and design, implement, and support technologies related to Microsoft, Apple, and Linux.
  • Engage in the design, implementation, and support of remote access solutions, including VPNs, remote desktop services, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all technical procedures and ticketing records.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in system administration or a closely related field. A strong working knowledge of cloud collaboration environments, particularly Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, is essential. Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware, or equivalent platforms is required. Experience with Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances and their security functionalities in a small business context, including familiarity with SonicWall, Fortinet, or Meraki, is also necessary. Knowledge of scripting, automation, orchestration, and configuration management tools is crucial. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills are mandatory.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually

Work Schedule: This position requires in-office attendance with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM PT to 6:00 PM PT.
