Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Product Engineer specializing in Flex Assemblies to enhance our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and execution of flex assemblies tailored for diverse applications in the aerospace and defense sectors. A solid foundation in Mechanical Design, Connector Design, Flex PCB Design, and Systems Design is essential. Familiarity with Mil-STD standards and a proven history of managing intricate engineering projects from inception to delivery are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Direct the design and development of flex assemblies for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring adherence to Mil-STD standards and client specifications.
  2. Conduct detailed mechanical design tasks, including 3D modeling, analysis, and validation of design criteria.
  3. Create and develop connectors and flex PCBs, focusing on optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate flex assemblies into larger systems and address any design or performance challenges.
  5. Manage the complete product lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to manufacturing, testing, and post-production support.
  6. Facilitate regular design reviews and provide expert technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  7. Stay updated on the latest advancements in flex assembly technology and apply this knowledge to enhance our products and processes.
  8. Engage with suppliers and external partners to ensure successful implementation of flex assemblies in our offerings.
  9. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals.


Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering, particularly in flex assemblies.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in Mechanical Design, Connector Design, Flex PCB Design, and Systems Design.
  4. Thorough understanding of Mil-STD standards and their application in aerospace and defense product development.
  5. Proficient in 3D modeling with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of troubleshooting complex design and performance issues.
  7. Excellent project management skills, adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  8. Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  9. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control standards in aerospace and defense industries.
  10. A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.
