The successful candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for technology. In the role of IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our clients' IT infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance, and contributing to various IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve cloud, network, and system-related issues.
  • Oversee the active cloud, network, and server environments.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on hardware.
  • Implement security protocols to avert system disruptions or breaches.
  • Manage sensitive data backup and recovery processes.
  • Design, deploy, and support technologies related to Microsoft, Apple, and Linux.
  • Develop and maintain remote access solutions such as VPN, remote desktop services, and VDI.
  • Document all technical processes and maintain precise ticketing records.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration or a related field.
  • Proficient understanding of cloud collaboration platforms, particularly Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V, VMWare, or similar.
  • Knowledge of UTM appliance functionalities and security features in a small business context (e.g., SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki).
  • Experience with scripting, automation, orchestration, and configuration management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in a Managed Services Provider environment is advantageous.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually
