Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR department in daily operations, ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters, addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and providing guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the performance appraisal process, tracking performance reviews, guiding managers on evaluations, and offering support on employee development plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state labor laws to ensure compliance in all HR practices, assisting in the development, communication, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality, generating reports, and analyzing HR metrics to support management in decision-making.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and promote career growth, assisting in organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as a Generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a moderate noise level. The position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs, typically between 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
