The Boeing Company is actively seeking skilled Integral Fuel Cell Assembly Mechanics to become part of our Joint and Installation team.

Key Responsibilities:


Interpret and understand technical work instructions, drawings, and specificationsUtilize chemical lubricants, solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and specialized finishesEmploy computers in a production settingAssemble and install parts, structural components, and sub-assemblies to construct and attach major wing assemblies.

This includes sealing, plumbing systems, and electrical components. Work with composite and metal aircraftEmploy various hand tools, including drills and high-impact vibratory tools (bucking, riveting), screwdrivers, lock bolt pullers, power screwdrivers, C-squeeze, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, torque wrenches, crimpers, cable tools, and other hand toolsConduct quality inspections and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD)


Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., scissors lifts, elevated work platforms)This role will require working in confined spaces of the wing fuel cells for extended periodsContinuous (6-8 Hrs) Flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), lying down (back, side, front), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, walkingFrequent (3-6 Hrs) exposure to constant noise and inside a confined spaceContinuous (6-8 Hrs) bending at the waist, handling (holding/grasping), standing, use of high-impact vibratory tools, working from an elevated platformLifting/Carrying/Pushing/pulling 10-35 poundsContinuous (6-8 Hrs) climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting)Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other)Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings, or documentsThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Ability to access/enter a wing fuel tank opening (approximately 18 inch x 10 inch opening)1+ years of experience with various types of hand-held power tools1+ years of experience following oral and written instructionsAble and willing to work a variable shiftPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience in assembly or mechanical work1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment1+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, robotics, or similar industry; this can include education and military.

Enrolled in a Boeing partnered manufacturing-related high school or community and technology college academic program
