Job Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking skilled Aircraft Fuel Systems Technicians to become integral members of our Joint and Installation team.

In this position, you will be responsible for the assembly and integration of critical components necessary for the construction and attachment of major wing assemblies. Your technical expertise will be vital in executing procedures related to fuselage and wing assembly, along with the installation and modification of plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components.

Work Environment:

This role requires 100% onsite presence, and candidates must be prepared to work in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and understand technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Utilize various chemical products including lubricants, solvents, and adhesives.
  • Operate computers within a production setting.
  • Assemble and install parts and structural components, ensuring the integrity of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Employ a range of tools including drills, riveting equipment, and hand tools for assembly tasks.
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure cleanliness to prevent Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
  • Operate mechanical lifts and work in confined spaces, particularly within wing fuel cells.
  • Engage in physical activities including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Maintain safety and compliance with all operational protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to access and work within a wing fuel tank opening.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with handheld power tools.
  • Experience in following both oral and written instructions.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in assembly or mechanical roles.
  • Background in operating heavy machinery.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or robotics industries.
  • Enrollment in a manufacturing-related academic program.
