Position Overview:
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking Junior Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to enhance our team in San Antonio, TX. This role requires a commitment to working onsite at the designated location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs, modifications, and maintenance on intricate aircraft structures, components, and engines.
- Oversee the upkeep of aircraft systems including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Utilize technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions.- Employ technical skills to restore equipment to optimal condition and functionality.
- This role necessitates the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance post-start is mandatory.
- Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are essential for this position.
- Candidates must successfully complete an assessment at the conclusion of the training cycle.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Depot Level/Heavy General maintenance.
- At least 3 years of experience with various aircraft exterior and interior systems such as hydraulics, flight controls, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience interpreting schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.- Proficient in accessing aircraft data.
- Willingness to work variable shifts is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in conducting aircraft engine runs and performing engine borescope inspections.
- Familiarity with operating aircraft tugs/tow vehicles, forklifts, mobile cranes, and electric powered elevating equipment.
- Knowledge of REDARS and/or Gold-ESP systems.
Work Environment:
This position is classified as second shift.
