Role Summary:

  • We are in search of a qualified Fuel Cell Inspector dedicated to maintaining aircraft safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process, final, and shakedown inspections of fuel cell structures, sealants, and coatings to ensure adherence to specifications and client requirements.
  • Inspectors will validate rework, modifications, and maintenance, assist in troubleshooting, and ensure all components and systems comply with quality benchmarks.
  • Assess and confirm aircraft surface preparation, sealants, adhesives, primers, and finishes according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Support flight line personnel with fuel tank sealant repairs and document any discrepancies.
  • Manage non-conforming items and oversee time/temperature-sensitive materials.
  • Execute tests on sealants and finishes, ensure appropriate material usage, and review manufacturing plans.
  • Witness and document functional tests while maintaining tool certifications.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, and oversee inspections of maintenance and modifications.
  • Work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 35 pounds.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with aircraft systems and components.
  • Capability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes and fall protection training.
  • Must pass visual acuity and color perception assessments and handle hazardous materials safely.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy objects as necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, and travel to various sites.

Preferred Skills:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
  • Experience with 787 aircraft and sealing techniques.
  • Knowledge of flight line and Velocity/CMES systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and perform various physical tasks.
  • Use of personal protective equipment as required.
  • Frequent exposure to noise and handling of hazardous materials.
