Position Title: Aircraft Structures Technician II
Employment Type: Full-time; Consultant (9+ Months)
Location: San Antonio, TX 78226 (Local and Non-Local candidates are welcome)
Compensation: $ per hour

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; Candidates must be available for variable shifts based on operational requirements, including both 1st and 2nd shifts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with heavy aircraft structures.
  • Proficient in shop mathematics and practices.
  • Familiarity with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
  • Competent in computer skills, including aircraft-related systems and basic office software.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with Very Important Person (VIP) aircraft or specialized aircraft interior installations within the last decade.
  • FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant license.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in close tolerance drilling, reaming, and the installation of critical support structures, including doublers, triplers, seat tracks, planks, and stringers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft repair procedures and part replacement.
  • Proficient in aircraft sheet metal and structural modifications and repairs.
  • Skilled in the use of specialized aircraft tools.
  • Ability to locate blind holes for new structural components.
  • Experience in sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structures.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical orders.
  • Proficient in operating specialized equipment.
  • This technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and modifying aircraft structures and structural components of moderate complexity, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. The role requires applying technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to identify equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition or operation, utilizing technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturer manuals.

Compensation Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
