We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team at USI Insurance Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits insurance accounts and services, providing proactive support to clients, and acting as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a book of business comprised of fully insured clients, including preparation of materials for client meetings and education on compliance topics.
- Provide personalized support to assigned clients, including setup of new group insurance contracts, renewal process management, and implementation of recommended programs.
- Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings, making recommendations to clients and developing alternative strategies and cost reduction opportunities.
- Champion client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts, conducting on-site meetings to communicate or administer benefit plans.
- Coordinate and manage client meetings, both virtually and in person, and develop employee communications for renewal changes, enrollment procedures, and benefit changes.
- Resolve client issues, such as contract clarifications and billing, and provide support and oversight for client concerns.
- 2-4 years of experience in the employee benefits industry or related marketplace, with a college degree preferred.
- Prior customer service experience is preferred, and a life and disability insurance license is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction, and to set priorities and manage deadlines.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products, and ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
