RN Practice Specialist - Critical Care

Position Overview:

The RN Practice Specialist in Critical Care is responsible for enhancing clinical practice and ensuring patient safety through evidence-based strategies. This role involves collaboration with clinical leaders to elevate nursing standards and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a clinical expert in quality and patient safety, providing guidance to nursing staff.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving quality and safety metrics.
  • Work closely with clinical leadership to assess professional development needs and create plans for skill enhancement.
  • Support the analysis of quality data to inform nursing practices and improve care delivery.
  • Facilitate the execution of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) initiatives, including updates to clinical guidelines.
  • Assist in evaluating research findings and integrating them into clinical protocols.
  • Conduct regular unit visits to mentor and coach nursing staff in partnership with clinical leaders.

Qualifications:

Licensure / Certification:
  • Current BLS certification required within the first month of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license from the relevant nursing board is mandatory prior to employment.

Education:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.

Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience is required; 5 years is preferred.
