Position Overview:

As a vital member of the healthcare team, the RN Practice Specialist in Critical Care will play a crucial role in enhancing patient safety and quality of care. This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about clinical excellence and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to serve as a resource for caregivers, aiming to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve quality and safety in patient care.
  • Work alongside clinical leaders to pinpoint areas for professional development and create plans to address skill gaps.
  • Assist in the analysis of quality and patient safety data to drive improvements in nursing practices.
  • Lead the execution of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) initiatives, including updates to clinical guidelines.
  • Analyze research findings and develop strategies for integrating them into clinical practice.
  • Conduct regular unit rounds to provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff.

Qualifications:

Licensure and Certification:
  • Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Registered Nurse license from the appropriate state board required prior to employment.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is mandatory.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience is required; 5 years is preferred.
