Position Overview

The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance operations within the manufacturing environment, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and adhering to manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, scheduling preventive and critical maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure the upkeep of manufacturing equipment, including new installations and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Monitor safety standards and the overall condition of manufacturing equipment.
  • Implement Total Preventative and Predictive Maintenance (TPM) strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements through employee training.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Establish maintenance priorities and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Conduct annual inspections and calibrations of equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding maintenance needs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and performing repairs as necessary.
  • Track maintenance workforce productivity and maintain historical data on equipment.
  • Be available for flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade certification is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems is necessary.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated environment for a minimum of 2 years is required.
  • Hands-on experience with machine tools and assembly is desirable.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in hydraulic equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and cGMP standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be necessary.
