Job Overview

Hotel Equities, a distinguished leader in hotel development and management, is seeking an exceptional Operations Manager for the Sheraton Northbrook Hotel.

Role Objective:

The Operations Manager will oversee key hotel functions including Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Food & Beverage services. The primary goal is to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and quality service while achieving financial targets. This role encompasses both strategic planning and daily operational management.

  • Lead the Human Resources efforts to attract, retain, and inspire team members; responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Formulate, propose, and manage the annual budget and business plans to meet or exceed operational expectations.
  • Implement corporate programs and develop local procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations, promoting exceptional service quality.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to emergency protocols and train staff to safeguard guests and hotel assets.
  • Promote safety initiatives to reduce liabilities and associated costs.
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all hotel areas to protect assets and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assume General Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Qualifications:

A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience with major hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt is preferred.
