Financial Aid Graduate Assistant

The Financial Aid Graduate Assistant position at Barnard College provides a current graduate student with exposure to various aspects of the financial aid process. This role contributes to the Office's efforts in supporting students and families as they navigate the awarding of financial aid, financing options, and billing assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and monitor inquiries regarding the financial aid process.
- Assist with online application management, document review, and tracking.
- Work on special projects such as QuestBridge, the HEOP application process, and reviewing Sibling Enrollment Verification Forms.
- Perform other administrative duties and projects as assigned.
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of the values of a liberal arts education for women and ability to articulate these values effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Currently enrolled in a Graduate Program, preferably within a higher education field.
