Job Summary:

We are seeking a Patient Financial Screener to join our team at the Bronx Health Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for screening patients for financial status, assisting with health insurance applications, and performing various administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen patients for financial status and assist with health insurance applications.
  • Monitor patient flow and ensure timely processing of patients.
  • Collect and submit documentation for health insurance applications.
  • Generate reports on health insurance and FPBP screenings.
  • Assist with scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
  • Provide training to new staff on the FPBP Program.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Medical Practice.
  • Certified NYS Assistor (Enroller for NYS of Health) preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a must, with ability to interpret both languages and act as an interpreter.
