Position Summary:

IMS is in search of a skilled Program Manager to oversee and coordinate various programs. The chosen candidate will offer strategic direction to teams and project leaders, fostering a culture aligned with the company's values. You will also monitor operational progress to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities and experience in managing diverse teams to achieve timely results. Additionally, the selected individual will be adept at formulating effective strategies and tactics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for clients.
  • Supervise projects and staff to guarantee deliverables are achieved.
  • Enhance productivity, quality, and customer service standards by resolving issues, conducting audits, identifying trends, and implementing improvements.
  • Achieve financial targets by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective measures.
  • Engage with stakeholders to review program status and objectives.
  • Assess and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of programs.
  • Organize and monitor interconnected projects.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management principles to ensure program success.
  • Generate monthly and annual reports for clients.
  • Coordinate daily activities in line with organizational and client goals.
  • Lead, evaluate, and support project managers and designated staff.
  • Analyze program performance and devise strategies to maximize return on investment.
  • Recommend sustainable objectives for the organization.
  • Communicate team expectations through planning, monitoring, and reviewing contributions from team members.
  • Enhance the reputation of the department and organization by taking ownership of new and diverse requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Program or Multi-Project Manager.
  • Expertise in project/program management methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Experience in utilizing and managing various project management tools (e.g., Basecamp, MS Project).
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven experience in performance and profitability management.
  • Effective task scheduling and management skills.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Skills in cost control and budgeting.
  • Capability to identify and facilitate training sessions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level clearance, if required.
  • US citizenship is mandatory.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred (from an accredited institution).
  • A minimum of 8 years of proven project management experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of management experience.
  • DoD-related experience preferred (including military, civil service, or defense contracting).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Lean Six Sigma certification(s) are advantageous.
