Position Overview

As a key member of the GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation team, you will play a crucial role in the High-Pressure Turbine (HPT) module sector within Fleet / Product Support Engineering (PSE). Your responsibilities will encompass the integration and development of processes that align with organizational objectives, managing intricate challenges within your areas of expertise, engaging in strategic long-term planning, and contributing to the overarching business strategy. You will be accountable for achieving functional, business, and company-wide goals with a strong emphasis on execution. This position is integral to the success of our division.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties
  • Collaborate within a module team (global PSE, repair, design) to achieve results that benefit our clients.
  • Prioritize competing demands (Aircraft-on-Ground inquiries, Salesforce inquiries, monthly customer updates, repair development, etc.) and eliminate barriers to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain productive customer relationships through monthly teleconferences and annual in-person meetings.
  • Engage in field event investigations to analyze data and support return-to-service activities and root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with module leaders to assess shop/field data and identify significant trends.
  • Serve as the primary contact for airline line maintenance inquiries.
  • Examine fleet data to identify leading indicators.
  • Draft GE90 service bulletins and revise engine/airframe maintenance manuals to ensure clarity and consistency across models.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and propose best practices to enhance products, processes, or services. Stay updated on industry trends that may influence your work.
  • Utilize sound judgment to make decisions and address complex tasks or issues in operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering domains.
  • Assess the quality of information provided and ask relevant questions to stakeholders.
  • Offer innovative solutions to challenges beyond established parameters and formulate actionable recommendations.
  • Leverage multiple internal and external resources beyond your function to inform decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an aviation-related engineering role.

  • Familiarity with PSE, design, or repair engineering.
  • Experience in creating and delivering customer-focused solutions.
