Position Overview:

The Senior IT Project Management Leader is responsible for overseeing complex and critical professional disciplines. This role involves leading and directing a team of professionals, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of multiple functional areas and their interactions to meet organizational objectives. The position requires a deep understanding of the business implications of technical contributions, along with strong commercial awareness. The leader is accountable for delivering a full spectrum of services to one or more business units or geographic regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technological aspects of the development and execution of major, complex projects, potentially on an enterprise-wide scale.
  • Develop comprehensive IT work plans, timelines, project estimates, resource allocations, and progress reports.
  • Provide strategic IT direction for managed projects.
  • Establish guidelines for staffing requirements to meet operational demands.
  • Influence the IT project leadership function through strategic control over resources, budget management, and planning; accountable for overall results.
  • Assess subordinate performance and make decisions regarding compensation, hiring, terminations, and other personnel matters.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within the area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues with broader implications.
  • Ensure adherence to essential procedures and contribute to defining standards.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of how IT project leadership integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires industry knowledge.
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complex, unique, and dynamic situations; draw on a diverse range of internal and external sources.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions; may engage with external stakeholders.
  • Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, with particular attention to the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal conduct and business practices.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a related technology role, including significant people management experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a Master's degree is a plus.
