Overview:

Under the guidance of senior leadership, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for identifying user requirements, setting work priorities, and overseeing project execution. This role supports the strategic planning needs of Information Systems, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. The Project Manager will track project issues and provide updates to management and local teams regarding the status of key deliverables. This position relies on extensive experience and critical thinking to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


• Demonstrate proficiency in OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Self-Leadership, Leadership of Others, or Leadership of Leaders.

• Adhere to PMO methodologies and processes to effectively manage projects from inception to completion.

• Develop and oversee project scope, resources, and budget management.

• Manage multiple large-scale projects while mentoring junior team members.

• Analyze and comprehend business requirements, vendor agreements, and other documentation to clearly define project deliverables.

• Ensure high-quality standards in project deliverables, implementation, and user satisfaction.

• Lead complex, enterprise-level projects with minimal supervision, coordinating efforts across various departments and stakeholders.

• Provide guidance to Project Coordinators and junior Project Managers, ensuring successful project execution.

• Ensure compliance with PMO processes, maintaining thorough documentation for audits.

• Create essential project documents including Charters, Project Plans, Budget Trackers, and Status Reports.

• Establish critical milestones and regularly report progress to executive leadership.

• Develop comprehensive project plans prior to implementation, ensuring all projects are tracked effectively.

• Identify potential risks and dependencies early, collaborating with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.

• Facilitate planning and design sessions to clarify project scope and requirements.

• Collaborate with training teams to ensure user documentation is accurate and comprehensive, including:

• Preparing and maintaining documentation related to systems operations and user guides.

• Translating business specifications into user-friendly documentation.

• Overseeing user support documentation efforts, including online help resources.

• Ensuring users are trained effectively on new systems and processes.

• Validating user competency prior to system go-live or significant changes.

• Ensuring support personnel are in place at go-live to facilitate ongoing user support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in an Information Systems environment is required.
  • Experience in a large multi-hospital system is preferred.
  • Experience in clinical project implementation and management is essential; familiarity with Epic or Meditech is a plus.
  • Previous experience managing projects of varying scope and complexity is required.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in information technology project teams, focusing on customer requirements and analysis.
  • A clinical education background is advantageous.
  • PMI Certification is highly preferred.
