Position Overview:

Pinnacle Solutions Inc. is in search of a Buyer II to enhance our Contracts team. About the Role:

The selected candidate will be responsible for acquiring goods and services in alignment with Pinnacle's established policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and managing Purchase Orders while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, CMMI, and CPSR.
  • Building and nurturing strategic relationships with suppliers.
  • Conducting thorough market research to inform procurement strategies.
  • Developing evaluation criteria for vendor selection.
  • Assessing vendor risks while balancing quality and scheduling needs.
  • Preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
  • Evaluating vendor responses to RFQs/RFPs to determine the best course of action, including cost analysis.
  • Formulating negotiation strategies and executing negotiations regarding pricing, terms, and delivery timelines.
  • Utilizing the Cost Point Procurement module for procurement activities.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with corporate compliance standards.
  • Managing the buyer queue independently.
  • Effectively multitasking in a dynamic environment and adjusting priorities as necessary.
  • Reviewing and negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Assisting in audit preparedness for CPSR.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong internet research skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage details and meet deadlines.
  • A self-starter mentality, capable of supporting multiple customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with various departments.
  • The capacity to handle substantial workloads with quick turnaround times.
  • Discretion in managing confidential information.
  • A results-oriented approach, enjoying both routine tasks and special projects.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CostPoint and SharePoint.
  • Exposure to international contracting.
  • Familiarity with Federal Procurement processes.
  • Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

Education:

A Bachelor's degree is required. Note: An additional four years of applicable experience may substitute for a degree. A Master's in Business Administration is preferred.

Special Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 10% is required.
