About American Hardwood Industries:

A leading hardwood lumber manufacturer, distributor, and exporter seeks a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to support its Continuous Improvement activities throughout manufacturing facilities. This position will be part of the Corporate CI Team with no direct reports.

Job Description:

The Process Improvement Specialist will work in partnership with the Director of Continuous Improvement and Quality to develop and maintain a strong CI culture across the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics data analysis to support continuous improvement.
  • Providing regular reporting on progress and analysis of trends to KPIs and initiatives to team members at all levels of organization as appropriate.
  • Documenting, analyzing, and providing recommendations for process improvements throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Assisting in the rollout of CI systems to new facilities and team members, as well as documenting and maintaining current systems.
  • Participating in hosted training sessions on using various tools and reports created by the department.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure a strong understanding of the methodology behind calculations.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships via business meetings, phone conversations, presentations, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, the Process Improvement Specialist should possess:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Detailed orientation with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with different functional groups.
  • The ability to provide project status updates, feedback, and reporting on key responsibilities and objectives to management.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to establish goals and targets for developing measurable and sustainable metrics.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills for audiences at all levels.
  • The problem-solving skill to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Benefits:

American Hardwood Industries offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, performance bonuses, and paid vacation days and holidays.
