**Overview**

At Berry Global, we are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our team and drive the development and implementation of quality assurance practices and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quality management principles and be able to effectively lead and direct a team of quality assurance professionals.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance to all safety policies and procedures, interacting regularly with frontline leaders and production employees to provide direction and leadership, and implementing manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure alignment with Berry Global's strategic initiatives and core values.

**Responsibilities**

- Plan, organize, and direct the quality function to ensure the most effective return on assets.

- Ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures and establish a safety first culture.

- Interact regularly with frontline leaders and production employees to provide direction and leadership.

- Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure alignment with Berry Global's strategic initiatives and core values.

- Supervise QA personnel, interface with customer sites, and initiate plans to minimize costs.

- Ensure compliance with all government regulatory requirements and maintain a statistically valid quality testing program.

- Manage internal and external audit processes and maintain quality data in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

- Utilize continuous improvement methods like Lean and Six Sigma to develop best practices in quality.

- Partner with other sites to standardize test methods, reduce non-value added activity, and address customer support and quality issues.

- Establish and maintain a safety first, quality, and continuous improvement culture.

- Ensure implementation of systems/procedures to achieve customer satisfaction synchronized with the commercial area.

- Establish safety clearance processes and ensure compliance with quality audit procedures.

- Provide continuous improvement and training to ensure a competent internal quality audit group.

- Prepare and present audit reports, develop corrective actions, and direct investigations on product and process irregularity causes.

- Monitor corrective actions and confirm quality indicators and process best practices.

- Establish a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance, and process excellence.

- Establish team and individual accountabilities for problem-solving and cost reduction.

- Ensure effective labor utilization and encourage employee positive involvement.

- Conduct quality department and plant communications meetings and ensure effective communication of quality objectives and results.

- Partner with the Supply Chain function to ensure timely, effective, and efficient delivery of finished goods.

- Participate in long-term strategic planning for the quality function and leverage knowledge of current technology and market trends.

- Support the effective implementation of investment projects and assist in creating and maintaining contingency plans.

- Supervise/manage direct reports and lead or participate in regional or global projects.

**Requirements**

- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management or a related field (preferred) or equivalent training and experience.

- ISO 9001 certification preferred; Six Sigma green belt is a plus.

- 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role; experience in a QA leader role preferred.
