Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and supervision for clients aged 10 to 17 in a residential setting.
  • Oversee shift responsibilities, including facility maintenance, meal provision, and client supervision.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative duties.
  • Assess and manage critical incidents with guidance and support.
  • Act as a role model for appropriate behavior and conduct.
  • Manage shift operations, including staffing and documentation processes.
  • Supervise residents, assigning tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Identify and address unusual behaviors while maintaining discipline.
  • Monitor resident activities and engage authorities when necessary.
  • Facilitate group discussions and organize recreational activities.
  • Complete necessary reports, incident documentation, and maintain client records.
  • Assist with the intake process for new residents.

Qualifications and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with adolescents. Previous experience in a residential care environment is preferred. A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands a high level of physical activity, including running, bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting weights exceeding 50 pounds. Willingness to travel regionally for training and transportation needs is essential.
