- Provide direct care and supervision for clients aged 10 to 17 in a residential setting.
- Oversee shift responsibilities, including facility maintenance, meal provision, and client monitoring.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative duties.
- Assess and respond to critical situations with guidance and support.
- Act as a role model for appropriate behavior and conduct.
- Manage shift operations, including staffing and documentation processes.
- Supervise residents, assigning tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Identify and address unusual behaviors while maintaining discipline.
- Monitor resident activities and engage authorities when necessary.
- Facilitate group discussions and plan recreational activities.
- Complete necessary reports, incident documentation, and maintain client records.
- Manage the intake process for new residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with adolescents. Experience in a residential environment is preferred. A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
Physical Requirements:
This position demands a high level of physical activity, including running, bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting weights exceeding 50 pounds. Willingness to travel regionally for training and transportation needs is also required.
